Frequently Asked Questions

1. HOW DO I FIND MY CORRECT SIZE?

a. If this is your first time purchasing a pair of Old Gringo Boots, make sure your foot has recently been measured.

b. Reference the fit guide to familiarize yourself with the elements that make up an Old Gringo Boot.

c. Our boots tend to have a more European cut, so for those with more athletic calves, we recommend considering a half size larger when ordering boots 13" or taller. Or stick to styles with 10" or shorter shaft heights.

d. For those with high arched feet or instep, we recommend boots with zippers or elastics.

e. Please review the fit guide available on the product pages of the website site.

2. WHAT IF THE STYLE COLOR LOOKS DIFFERENT IN PERSON THAN ONLINE?

a. There may be color variations on images due to the brightness of your monitor or device (desktop/mobile).

3. HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR OLD GRINGO BOOTS?

a. Remove dirt and dust after each wear. Wipe your boots off with a soft cloth, dampen slightly if needed.

b. Apply a leather conditioner and cream occasionally. (Remember some boots have different color leathers so be careful).

c. Store your boots properly; keeping them at proper humidity levels so they can remain in great condition longer.

d. Keep your cowboy boots away from your pets. Animals, especially dogs love to chew on leather.

e. We recommend you use a boot bag to transport your boots.

f. Pay attention to how you walk or drive in your boots, especially if they have a lot of embellishments.

g. Use an Old Gringo Boot Jack to assist in removing your cowboy boots.

h. We recommend you keep your boots away from your pets. They like the smell of the leather and may want to play/chew with your favorite pair.

4. HOW DO I GET MY DAMAGED BOOTS REPAIRED?

We also suggest that you make yourself familiar with the retailers return policy since each store’s policy is different. If you have just recently purchased a pair of Old Gringo Boots and you have noticed a factory defect such as; torn seam, unraveling thread, a loose stud. Please contact the retailer you made the initial purchase from. Please supply retailer with a photo of the damaged area. The retailer will then contact the old Gringo Offices and we will take the proper steps to repairing or replacing your new boots.

If your dog made a snack out of your boot, or you caught the toe of your boot on a step, or you rubbed off a crystal or stud on the gas pedal this is considered wear and tear. We can certainly take a look at the damage and give suggestions on how to or if it is possible to repair the boots, however Old Gringo is not responsible for repairing the damaged boot caused by normal wear and tear...
